PET transfer film, in some industries, is used as transport paper, but its material is actually attributed to plastic film. PET transport film belongs to the category of PET release film, which is mainly used to transport the text and patterns on other films or stickers to the surface of another object. PET transport film plays a temporary load-bearing role.

Transport film, also known as heat transfer film, is characterized by high tensile strength, good thermal stability, low thermal shrinkage rate, flat and smooth surface, good peel resistance, and can be reused multiple times. It is mainly used as a carrier for vacuum aluminum plating, which involves placing the PET film on a vacuum aluminum plating machine for aluminum plating, gluing it onto paper, and then peeling off the PET film. The aluminum molecular layer is then transported to the surface of the cardboard through adhesive action, forming the so-called aluminum plated cardboard. The production process of aluminum coated cardboard is as follows:

PET substrate → release layer → color layer → aluminum plating layer → adhesive layer → transport to cardboard.

Simply put, it is a thin layer of plastic PET film coated on top, creating layers of patterns that can be used to make laser electrochemical aluminum plating printing film. For example, cigarette packaging, leather, tablecloth, cardboard, packaging boxes, etc., can be transported using PET film. In the early stage, in order to pursue practicality, we mainly applied solvent based coatings in the following order: release layer, coloring layer, ink layer, aluminum plating/pressure laser layer, adhesive layer, and then transported to the material. Not only does it require one layer of coating process, but it is also not environmentally friendly. Nowadays, with the strict supervision of environmental protection and safety, all of them have been converted into water-based coatings, leading the concept of environmentally friendly, healthy, and green packaging materials. Moreover, the coating process has also reduced one or two layers to achieve the same effect.
